Solid rock Arsenal defender doesn't want to sign new contract - eyes big money psg transfer


With just one year left on his Arsenal contract, french national team defender William saliba is hesitant on putting pen to a new contract with the north london club.

Since joining from french side marseille where he played on loan only for the second half of the season in the french ligue 1, saliba has been crucial to the gunners english premier league title dream since the 2022/23 epl season began, he rapidly ingrained himself in the starting xi and when he sustained an injury against portuguese club sporting CP in the Uefa Europa league, arsenal title hopes began crashing down and they ended up the season losing the English Premier league title to Manchester city and getting eliminated from the UEL and eventually ending a once promising season to a trophyless one and leaving the fans dejected, again. 

Having spent majority of his life and footballing career in france and a very keen interest from Oil money qatar owned club, it's little surprise saliba may decide to walk away a free agent when he run out his remaining one year contract or psg offer Arsenal a mouth watering deal, or the gunners can watch him go for nothing. 

The gunners pay willam saliba a weekly wage of £40 000 since he joined from french club Saint-Étienne and are now willing to offer the defender £120000 weekly pay to be on the same scale with teammates like Ben White, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Aaron Ramsdale but the frenchman has his eyes on something else. Willam saliba joined three years ago from Saint-Étienne but spent 2 years on loan with different french clubs and when he finally got a chance to play for the epl side he performed exceptionally well in his debut epl season and coach arteta is highly impressed and so are money bag, paris Saint German who are looking to solidify their defence for a new season as they have thier eyes on winning the uefa champions league trophy, and will break the bank to get any of their target. 

Arsenal's Player of the Month for August willam saliba has the potential to become one of the best defenders in football and arsenal are willing to keep him and have him sign a new and improved deal like the likes of england forward Bukayo Saka and Aaron Ramsdale.
