David de gea wouldn't have won the golden glove without him - Marcus Rashford praise teammate



Shot stopper in goal for Manchester united david de gea has been with the club since 2011 and was phenomenal in the just concluded 2022/23 EPL season, refusing to allow the opposition to put the ball at the back of united net, 16 clean sheets better than other English Premier league keepers. The Spaniard has been criticized for his form in recent seasons. He has continously made many high-profile errors as he has made saves which has cost the team valuable points.

Rashford doesn't think david de gea would have kept this high numbers of clean sheets if it wasn't for Brazilian player casemiro who has been the engine of the midfield since his arrival from los blancos side real madrid. 



Many football fans and pundits consider Brazilian captain as one of the best defensive midfielders in the game due to his aggressiveness, high work rate ability, strength and coordination of the ball.

Speaking to club website MUTV England forward had this to say 


"I voted for Case [Casemiro] and Bruno [Fernandes]. I feel like Case has done an amazing job since coming in and he has made us a lot more solid."

Also had more to say about Brazilian 

"He's one of the reasons why David [De Gea] managed to win the Golden Glove, and we were just a lot more solid in the midfield. That freed the likes of people like Bruno and [Christian] Eriksen, who I thought has had a tremendous season as well, to play their football."


The young academy breakthrough player who just joined the exclusive league of 30 or more goals scored in a season for Manchester united, joining former arsenal player robin van persie who last scored 30 goals in a united shirt in the 2012/13 season.
